Rain on your wedding day is said to bring good luck, and for Brent and Cheyenne, their wedding at Burlap and Bells in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, proved just that. Despite a monsoon rainstorm that swept through the early hours of their day, this couple leaned into the unexpected, creating a magical celebration filled with love and laughter! It was almost as if we were transported to the Pacific Northwest in our own personal "Twilight" movie scene!
A Design Rooted in Elegance and Comfort
As partial planning clients, Brent and Cheyenne entrusted us with their event design, and it was a joy to help bring their vision to life. We worked together to craft decor inspiration for their lounge area, floor plan, ceremony setup, centerpieces, and a cohesive color palette that wove through the details of their day. The result? A celebration that felt effortless, warm, and uniquely them.
The ceremony, initially planned outdoors, was seamlessly transitioned indoors due to the weather. Burlap and Bells’ rustic charm shone through with mismatched chairs and rugs lining the aisle. After the ceremony, the space was transformed as guests sipped on their cocktails! the tables, beautifully decorated with bud vases and statement floral pieces, were moved from the sides of the room and filled the space allowing guests to find their seats for the celebration.
Twilight Magic: When Rain Meets Romance
The rain didn’t dampen spirits—it enhanced them. Guests and the wedding party used clear umbrellas to stay dry, adding a whimsical touch to the preparations. Outside, the rain brought a foggy, twilight-like atmosphere, blending seamlessly with the surrounding trees and forest. It was as if nature itself joined the celebration, creating an ambiance reminiscent of the Pacific Northwest! I mean the photos speak for themselves!
Unforgettable Details and Cherished Moments
From their personalized signature cocktails—expertly served by the Burlap and Bells team—to the cozy photo booth and lounge area, every detail was thoughtfully curated for guest enjoyment. Their florist designed stunning bud vases and impactful statement pieces that elevated the tables and ceremony space alike.
Above all, the day was made special by the love and support of Brent and Cheyenne's friends and family. Whether sharing heartfelt speeches, dancing under twinkling lights, or coming together during quiet moments before the ceremony, their guests added a layer of warmth and connection that made the day truly unforgettable.
A Celebration of Love, Rain, and Resilience
While no couple plans for rain on their wedding day, Cheyenne and Brent embraced it with grace and joy. Their day at Burlap and Bells was a testament to the beauty of going with the flow, trusting your team, and finding magic in the unexpected. We did everything we could to ensure their day went off without a hitch!
